Kidz Bop Christmas Party CD Give Away

Decorating A Nursery On A Budget
Since, Xavier's, my 3 year old grandson's birthday is around the corner as well as the holidays, we set a budget of $2,500 for the nursery. We're just about finished purchasing and so far we're within budget. We ordered the crib on-line from Target for about $250.00, which included shipping. The crib is solid and receiving great reviews, so we've chalked this purchase up as a steal. The crib we were looking at initially was in the $500.00 range. We liked this one better because of the color. It turns into a toddler bed, which is a bonus. For $250.00 if we decide to use it as a toddler bed we really got a great deal, if not we don't have $500.00 invested in a crib that won't get more use.
The Butterfly bedding and accessories were $500.00, an exclusive from Babies R Us. We selected the comforter, 2 lamps, hamper, diaper stacker, 2 valances, butterfly rug, keepsake box, sheets, bumper pad, and wall decals. We also purchased a rocker and foot stool for $250.00. Coach Motives Kids In Cemetary - WTH?
Parents of a JV football team in a New York town are livid. Why? They lost a game, and the coach thought a good motivator would be to take the team to a cemetary on the way home. Lesson to be learned? I have no idea. His explanation was that Denzel Washington used the cemetary to motivate his football team in the movie Remember the Titans and he tried to adopt the idea.
Dah! What happened to having a conversation with the children? I really worry about our children and the education system in this country tonight. Some educators don't seem to think and some don't seem to care. The coach instructed the driver to pull over and demanded that the 24 players lay down between 2 rows of graves. The lesson that he was trying to teach the children supposely was about the importance of playing hard. How he connected a cemetary to that idea is beyond me. Play hard or die?
Can you image the horror those kids must have been feeling. He told the parents, "My only thought was to bring them to a realization of what a great thing it is to be able to play football with your friends, and how great it would be to work hard and triumph the following Saturday."
The coach was suspended 2 weeks. He did offer his resignation; however, the school board refused to accept it. Apparently he is a good teacher and is well liked. The school board thought he just made a poor decision.
I hope none of the children suffer any negative repercussions as a result of this ploy. If your child had been involved would you have demanded his resignation?
Celebrating at Chuck E Cheese
Looks who's 4! My Xavier is turning into quite the young man. I remember the day the nurse rolled him out of the delivery room to the nusery. I had to stop the nurse. I remember yelling, "Wait a minute. Where are you going that's my grandson". This little guy changed my life forever.
We celebrated his 4th birthday at Chuck E Cheese this year. I missed decorating for his party, but with my daughter giving birth to Zarriah 2 months early having someone else do the work turned out to be a blessing. We had a ball and so did the kids. Here's my little King sitting at the head of the table waiting to blow out the candles on his Spiderman cake. Have you ever seen someone's hair catch on fire? The hostess caught her hair on fire while lighting Xavier's candles. Thank goodness, she was able to quickly stop it from burning, the kids weren't devastated, and she wasn't hurt.
We had his cake made at one of the local bakeries, and it was adorable. One of the lessons learned over the years, is that we order too much cake. By the time the guests eat the main items, which happened to be pizza this year, there's not much room for cake. We ordered enough for 10 - 15 people, and it turned out to be just enough. Just a few slices to carry home and we polished it off later that night. We had ice cream cups for the kids, which pretty much would have gone to waste if the adults didn't devour them, lol.
This is Xavier playing one of the games and dancing with Chuck E Cheese. The party was well organized. We had the tables for 2 hours, which allowed the kids to play games, eat, and enjoy the show with Chuck E Cheese. The decorations were quite and the party very entertaining for the children. The pizza was delicious. They also have a great salad bar if pizza isn't your thing.
These are pictures of some of the decorations at our table. I thought the balloon was too cute. Xavier was able to take it home and have hours of fun tossing it around.
This was the background of the party. The stage had this cute little band that played music when Chuck E Cheese and the children danced. I would highly recommend you having your child's party at this establishment. The best part, we didn't have to clean up.
