I love our neighborhood alive with people raking and laughing with kids. I love the sound of the high school band playing at the high school football game 8 blocks away. And the kids giggling at seeing their own breath as it escapes. I do love the rich fall colors...but what is truly the BEST of fall is the smell of pumpkin bread or apple pie in the oven. The feel of those fluffy slipper socks healing the rough summer feet from running over the driveway to head off a wayward basketball. AAahhhh. Family time indoors snuggling with a good movie and discussing what Santa will bring...IF they are good. Love it!!!
